"This auction is for an Original 1967 Still Sealed Canadian stereo SGT PEPPER. I guarantee it's authenticity as I am the person that found this album among many 1960's pressings in the basement stockroom of a local department store when the store was being closed in the mid 1980's. I found it in a box with mostly old Johnny Cash albums and quickly tucked it away. The album is next to PERFECT. All wear is on the outer wrapping only. This album was not wrapped in the traditional manner. It was loose wrapped so that you can open the gatefold without unsealing the album. THIS IS NOT A RE - WRAP. The cut outs are situated in one side of the gatefold covering half of the Beatles picture. This album was not issued with the colourful innner sleeve in Canada - In fact it has no inner sleeve at all. Capitol of Canada usually did not issue albums considered for the teenage market with inner sleeves. This can be confirmed on pages 190 and 198 in Bruce Spizer's "The Beatles Story On Capitol Records : The Albums" book. I have seen 2 other original still sealed Canadian SGT PEPPER'S and they were both sealed in this manner which leads me to believe they were sent from the factory this way. I have since seen a US copy sealed in the same way although it had been opened to play the record." Source - Ebay seller "23up", June 4, 2001
